dc.description.abstract	Hydroquinone (HQ), commonly known as dihydroxybenzene, is a hydroxyphenyl compound that is structurally similar to the precursor of melanin. Hydroquinone works by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase, which prevents melanin synthesis. It’s currently considered as the golden active ingredient in the treatment of pigmentation and hyperpigmentation, but studies and researches on the quantitative and safe concentration of Hydroquinone in cream preparations on the market are still rare. Therefore, we have implemented the topic: “Quantitative analysis of Hydroquinone in cosmetics (Melanin Cream) by High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method” intending to successfully find and validate the quality and permissible concentration of the formulation cream products on the market. The final result aims to bring the research method to practical application.
